How to Change Your Yahoo! Preferences

Yahoo! Preferences is only for Yahoo! Messenger, and can come in handy when you want to change the language, appearance, archives, ignore list, messages and more.

   Install Yahoo! Messenger if you haven't already. It's free and only takes a couple of minutes.

   Sign into Yahoo! Messenger.

   Click on "Messenger" at the top left corner once Yahoo! Messenger loads.

   Go to "Preferences/Privacy Options." It doesn't matter which one, they are both the same.

   Pick a category that you want to change. There are more than 10 to choose from.

   Change the preferences you would like to change.
